DICE Slams Call of Duty Trailer

The trailer for Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare dropped yesterday and many people were excited to get a first look at the next entry of the popular franchise.  Some people though were less than impressed including a few high profile developers.  Several developers over at DICE, makers of the popular Battlefield franchise, took to Twitter to slam the trailer.

DICE Video and Media Editor Roland Smedberg took several shots at the trailer citing "grade school" editing and "2010 graphics".  He also called the game "dull looking" and "ugly".  He wasn't alone either.  Randy Evans tweeted the trailer "looked like a game from 10 years ago".  Smedberg has since apologized for his tweets calling them "unprofessional".

Battlefield and Call of Duty have long been rival franchises but rarely have we seen developers lick open shots like this. With another Battlefield currently in development it will be interesting to see if the competition between these two heavyweights heats up again.
