Overwatch Bans Thousands

It appears Blizzard was very serious and was not bluffing about banning cheaters in their newly released title Overwatch.   Blizzard recently announced that thousands of players have been permanently banned from the game worldwide. The announcement came on Blizzard's official Overwatch forums.  Blizzard said from the beginning they planned to permanently ban first time offenders and would aggressively punish cheaters, bots, and people who used third party software to gain advantages within the game.  In this first wave of bans it seems they are making good on their promise.

In related news Blizzard announced that Overwatch hit seven million players across PC, PS4, and XB1, which is very impressive for a new title.  It has also received high praise from reviewers and seems thus far to be a commercial success.
