Why I'm Amped For Red Dead Redemption 2

By now you are well aware that a sequel has finally been announced for arguably the best game of last gen.  Rockstar's official announcement for Red Dead Redemption 2 sent shockwaves through the gaming world.  The internet exploded with one sentiment: Shut up and take my money.

One of the reasons for this is because of just how phenomenal Red Dead Redemption was.  I personally do not like westerns.  I'm not fond of cowboys or the old west.  Nothing against those who are.  Just not into it.  Yet for some reason I could not put RDR down.  I played the hell out of it.  When John Marston met his demise I was legitimately bothered by it.  Everything from the game to the story to the presentation was incredible.

So it's easy for me to be excited for RDR 2, especially when you factor in what R* should be able to do with current gen hardware.  Also given how popular Grand Theft Auto 5 is we can probably expect a robust online offering (Red Dead Online anyone?).  If you are amped up for RDR 2 you are not alone.  There are millions of gamers who are eagerly anticipating 2017....and for good reason.
