If you haven't copped a 2TB Xbox One S yet you many have to wait until the holidays to get one. Retailers have reported that the Xbox One S has almost completely sold out worldwide and Microsoft will not be replenishing them(at least for the time being). According to Microsoft the 2TB Xbox One S was shipped as a special edition and launched in limited quantity. These consoles are now all but gone and the soonest you can probably expect to see them replenished is the holiday season.
There is still hope however for those who weren't able to get one early but still want one. The 500GB and 1TB model of the Xbox One S will be available in just a couple of weeks. For those that are still looking to upgrade, replace, or cop an Xbox One for the first time you'll still have an opportunity to do so. August 23 should see the release of the 1TB and 500GB models.
Selling out of the 2TB Xbox One S has to be good news for Microsoft. Poor messaging and consumer mistrust(as well as a hefty price tag) plagued the launch of the OG Xbox One and the wrong approach could've easily cost them here to. Many were also skeptical and leery about mid generation upgrades. The fact that they've been able to move the Xbox One S 2TB consoles shows that slowly MS is regaining consumer faith. As long as they continue to do right by the consumer they will continue to make and see significant progress
