Five Free To Play Games You Should Try

Looking for some fun games to play but you're money is tight?  Just bought an Xbox One or Xbox One S and your coins are slim?  Or are you just looking for something different to try?  We decided to highlight some fun free to play games you might really enjoy.  Free to play games often get a bad rep but these games are actually pretty good and you just might want to check them out.  *Keep in mind these are in no particular order, just games we found fun.

Killer Instinct
Now to be fair, to get the most out of Killer Instinct you'll need to spend some coins.  But if you're just looking to test it out this is one you should most definitely download.  Killer Instinct is an outstanding fighting game with a surprisingly in depth fighting engine.  Fights are fast and furious but also deceptively strategic.  If you like fighting games get it now.  Don't wait another second.

Smite
If MOBAs are your thing you definitely want to download Smite.  While most MOBAs are geared toward PC players, Smite was built with consoles in mind.  It's fun, challenging, and impressive visually.  There is also quite a bit of variety and personality among the playable characters.  It can be a bit rough on new players(there are some skilled players out there) but it's still fun nonetheless.

Warframe
Warframe is a uniquely styled MMO.  It's very action based and is surprisingly a lot of fun.  It's simple to pick up and play yet at the same time it has enough depth to keep players engaged who want to invest time into it.  The micro transactions can be a bit egregious in some cases but you don't have to spend a cent if you really don't want to.  The game also sees regular updates and the developers seem to be committed to the game.  Definitely worth a try.

DC Universe Online

This is an oldie but goodie.  DCUO has been around awhile and has been released on multiple consoles and platforms.  That doesn't make it any less fun to play though and if you're into comics, mmos, or the DC Universe it's definitely worth a try.  The endgame can be a bet repetitive and there are still some PVP balancing issues even after all these years.  But that doesn't take away from some of DCUOs most enjoyable moments.  Flying through the skies of Metropolis or stalking the rooftops of Gotham as you advance your hero or villain still feels great if not a bit dated.

World of Tanks

Another oldie but goodie.  World of Tanks puts you in large scale multiplayer battles with several different types of tanks.  There is a deliberate and strategic pacing to the game and succeeding doesn't always necessarily mean having the best tank.  It's another game that's easy to get into but has enough depth to keep players who want to invest time in it engaged.

There are several other FTP games out there that deserve consideration as well(Tales from the Borderlands for example) so go have a look.  Some of these FTP games are definitely worth your time and you can have a bit of fun without worrying about taxing your pockets.  Go check them(and others) out.
