No matter what console you prefer you have to admit Xbox One has been on a roll lately. Outstanding new titles, backwards compatibility, and new features and upgrades has given Xbox some strong momentum. Xbox One has been the lead console for the past four months and if MS can continue to deliver it's no doubt Xbox will continue to enjoy success.
To those new Xbox One owners Christmas budget it may be hard to decide what to cop, even with all the outstanding Black Friday sales. So the Weapon X Squad has decided to give our choices on what to grab this holiday exclusively for Xbox One if you are new to the Xbox ecosystem. With a nice mix of new games, services, and oldie but goodies, consider this your Xbox Starter Kit.
1. Gears of War 4

Gears of War 4 is a truly outstanding game. If you only buy one game for Xbox One this year this should probably be it. Gears 4 brings back all the visceral cover based third person shooter action you remember and puts on a fresh coat of paint with outstanding visuals, great new characters, and stellar gameplay. Gears of War 4 is not to be missed. If you've got the coins, it's a no brainer. Get Gears. Get it now.
2. Forza Horizon 3

There is no better racing game on the market. Period. Forza Horizon 3 is simply phenomenal. It's not only one of the best racers released this year. It's not only one of the best in the Forza series. It's one of the best racing games you'll play ever. Even if you are only a casual racing fan you owe it to yourself to play Horizon 3. It's THAT good. If you see a good deal on this game do not hesitate. Get it.
3. EA Access

EA Access is easy to recommend. For as little as $30 a year, half the price of a AAA title, you can download and play well over a dozen EA games in the vault(including backward compatibility titles), get 10% off new EA titles, and get early access to new premium titles. It's a great service and a great way to pad your library for just a few bones. If you have an Xbox One, you should strongly consider EA Access.
4. Halo 5: Guardians

Oldie but goodie. While the campaign polarized the community(some loved it, some hated it) when the game released last year, no one will argue that Halo 5's multiplayer continues to be second to none. Halo 5 offers some of the most challenging and enjoyable FPS action you'll find on console. It's only gotten better since launch and even a year later it's still one of the top FPS games out there. It's definitely worth a look if you're new to the Xbox ecosystem and you can probably get it for a steal.
5. Dead Rising 4

Because killing zombies is fun as hell and never been more fun than in the Dead Rising series. Dead Rising has always offered wild and crazy ways to mow down hundreds of undead freaks and DR4 is no exception. Frank West returns and so does the over the top zombie killing action we all love. Looking for some brain dead fun(see what we did there)? Cop Dead Rising 4 when it drops.
